The House of Representatives passed a bill yesterday approving construction of the Keystone XL pipeline. The bill was approved by the Senate in January and now heads to President Obama. The White House has said that Obama would veto legislation to build the pipeline if it reaches his desk. Obama wants to let a U.S. government review of the Canada-to-U.S. Gulf Coast pipeline conclude. That review has been going for more than six years. The vote was 270 to 152. |
