It was a volatile day on Wall Street. The Dow was up 96 points in the morning based on news that the Spanish government was going to put 100 Billion Euros into shoring up its banks. Crude fell under $83 a barrel; held steady against other global currencies and Treasury yields fell, with the benchmark 10-year down to 1.589%. |
The Apple Developer conference kicked off today. Apple’s keynote address demonstrated software updates and some tweaks to its MacBook line but overall met expectations. Apple confirmed reports that it has developed its own mapping app for the iPhone and iPad, giving Google maps the boot. |
