The Federal Reserve is holding off on increasing monetary stimulus unless the U.S. economic expansion falters or prices rise at a rate slower than its 2 percent target. according to minutes of the March 13 meeting of the Fed Open Market Committee released today. |
Bloomberg reported The Obama administration will speed permitting for oil- and natural-gas drilling on federal lands to lure more fracking and rebut Republican and industry complaints the government is blocking energy production. In a statement, the Bureau of Land Management said it may be able to cut application reviews to about 60 days from 298 days by using an automated system. |
