| ADP reports 118,000 private-sector jobs were added in November, 114,000 were in services in line with estimates ADP said Hurricane Sandy cost 86,000 jobs, in manufacturing, retailing, leisure and hospitality, and temporary help industries. 16,000 manufacturing jobs were lost during the month, and 23,000 construction jobs were added as the housing industry continues its recovery. | |||||||
| CoreLogic says home prices slipped 0.2% in October, which was expected as the housing market enters the offseason. On a year-on-year basis, prices are 6.3% higher. | |||||||
| U.S. businesses produced goods and services more efficiently in the third quarter than originally believed, by boosting output while keeping labor and other costs down. Productivity rose a revised 2.9% in the July-to-September period, up from a first reading of 1.9%, according to the Labor Department. | |||||||
| Tech stocks are on the move. Pandora shares fell more than 18% after the online radio provider provided a disappointing outlook for the current quarter. Netflix trimmed off more than 2% in early trades following a jump of 14% yesterday after the company announced a content deal with Walt Disney. | |||||||
