The Labor Department reports the prices paid for imported goods fell sharply in January because of cheaper oil. That’s keeping inflation low. The import price index dropped a seasonally adjusted 2.8% last month, smaller than the 3.5% drop expected by economist. Excluding fuel, import prices fell by 0.7%. The price of U.S.-made goods exported to other nations decreased by 2% in January. For the past year, import prices have fallen 8%, but are down 0.9% when fuel is excluded. |

More than one in 10 Americans have used an online dating site or mobile dating app, according to the Pew Research Center. According to a report released Wednesday by Applause, which aggregates app rating data, Americans hate dating apps more than all other types of apps. Part of the reason might be the app experience (selecting dates, swiping through profiles, etc.) isn’t as good as it is with other types of apps, another issue is of course, the people you encounter. Only 5% of Americans who are married or in a committed relationship say they met their significant other online, according to Pew. |
