The rallied mor than 300 points after the release of Fed minutes at 11 am Pacific time. However gains gave way to losses with about an hour left in the trading day. The downturn was partly due to a climb in yields for the 10-year Treasury note to a session high, and a four-year peak, at 2.95%. The minutes from the Jan. 30-31 FOMC meeting showed that officials saw a strengthening economy. |
