The KUIK Closing Market Report for Monday, October 9:

It was a flat day on Wall Street.

Index Direction Change Units Index Time Change
Dow Down                    (19) points         22,761 11:01 AM
S&P500 Down -0.1% percent           2,548         (1.53)
Nasdaq Composite Down 0.0% percent           6,588         (2.06)
30 Year Treasury Down                      (2) basis points            2.89 Annual Yield

The Bond Market was closed in honor of Columbus Day.  Gold prices rose for a second session today as investors sought safe-havens as the U.S. and North Korea continue to exchange verbal threats. A softer U.S. dollar also fueled demand for gold. December gold rose or 0.8%, to settle at $1,285 an ounce.
