Treasury prices fell on anticipation of tomorrow’s meeting of the Federal Open Market Committee as investors see a quarter-point rise in the Fed-funds rate as a virtual certainty when the Fed concludes its meeting on Wednesday. The most recent dot plot signaled expectations for three rate hikes in 2017, but economic conditions may require four rate hikes which would surprise the stock and bond markets.
