Five major stock index benchmarks finished at records on the same day.  Something that hasn’t happened in more than eighteen years according to Dow Jones Data. On Thursday, the Dow, the S&P500, the NASDAQ Composite Index, the Dow Jones Transportation Average, and the Russell 2000 index, a gauge of small capitalization stocks all closed at record highs for the first time at record highs since March 16, 1998.
