The Dow Jones Transportation Average took a beating todayy, falling much farther than the broader market, on the back of big selloffs in the shares of railroad companies and disappointing results from JetBlue Airways and United Parcel Service. The index fell 231 points, or 2.8%, with all 20 components trading lower. Union Pacific led the decline, slumping 4.9%. |
