Te Dow industrials were down for the seventh day, hitting its worst losing streak since 2011’s debt-ceiling crisis. The Labor Departments nonfarm-payrolls report showed that the U.S. gained 215,000 jobs in July, largely matching expectations, and the unemployment rate stayed pat at 5.3%. boosting the chances for a Federal Reserve interest-rate hike in September. |
