The U.S. Energy Information Administration lowered its crude oil price forecast in today’s monthly report. The agency said it expects West Tex Intermediate to average $52.15 a barrel this year and expects $70 in 2016. Production is expected to average 9.3 million barrels per day in 2015 and climb to 9.5 million in 2016 – close to the 9.6 million high hit in 1970. |
