European finance ministers are meeting in Brussels to discuss the latest proposal from Greece on extending its loan agreement. The request was submitted yesterday, but rejected by Germany, which said it was not a “substantial proposal for a solution”. European markets were mixed ahead of the meeting, with Greece’s Athex Composite index  0.8% to 863.68.
Gold rose on anxiety over Greece, April gold is up 0.4%, to $1,212.70 an ounce on the Comex.
Marketwatch reports YouTube will release an new app called YouTube Kids. Theapp from Google’s online video service will run on smartphones and tablets andfeature   episodes of popular television shows for preschoolers, including “Thomas the Tank Engine” and “Sesame Street,” as well as content from kid-safe channels already featured on YouTube. It will feature kid-friendly design, with big icons and minimal scrolling. Parentw will even have a timer to limit how much video kids are able to watch. The only downside is that it will only be initially available for Android devices and not Apple Iphones and Ipads.
