The average mortgage age hit a record-high of more than 54 months in August, up from an average of about 50 months in August of 2013, according to Black Knight Financial Services. That age is how long a borrower has a loan before paying it off, either by selling the home, refinancing, or because the loan was closed due to foreclosure. |
