Treasury prices fell today on remarks by Federal Reserve Chairman Janet Yellen. At the Jackson Hole Fed symposium she said that the economy is moving toward its objectives. Once it gets there, the central bank will exit its easy money policies. However, the timing of rate hikes is flexible as the central bank focuses on worker wages, quality of jobs, and slack in the labor market. |
