The consumer price index jumped by a seasonally adjusted 0.4% in May, its highest level since the fall of 2012. Over the past year, consumer prices rose by 2.1%. Treasury prices fell and yields rose adding to market jitters ahead of tomorrow’s statement on interest rate policy from the Federal Reserve. |
