Treasury prices jumped, sending yields lower after a report on US retail sales missed Wall Street expectations, restraining the outlook on one of the key drivers of economic gowth. Retail sales climed a mere 0.1% in April, following an upwardly revised 1.5% growth in March, according to data from the Commerce Department. Economists expected a 0.4% increase. |
