Federal Reserve Chairman Janet Yellen delivers her first report on monetary policy tomorrow. Yellen will speak on monetary policy and the outlook for the economy tomorrow for the first time after being sworn in as the central bank’s head on Feb. 3. The Fed chairman will testify before the House Financial Services Committee in a semi-annual report. |

Chrysler, the American carmaker now owned by Fiat, will pay $5 billion to the United Auto Workers health-care trust, completing the final payments that the carmaker owed as a result of its bankruptcy. Fiat last month bought the 41.5 percent Chrysler stake held by the trust, which was created to pay medical bills for union retirees, to gain full control of the U.S. business. The combination creates the world’s seventh-largest auto manufacturer. Fiat plans to move its primary listing to New York and rename itself Fiat Chrysler Automobiles by October 1st. and will also continue to have shares traded on the Milan exchange. |

Gold futures are higher, adding to last week’s gains as Chinese buyers returned for a full week of trading after the Chinese New Year holiday April gold is up .9% to $1273.70 on the New York Merc. |
