Intel is getting out of the television business. The company has agreed to sell Intel Media, its business division that develops Cloud TV products and services to Verizon. The unit is in Santa Clara, CA and has 350 employees. Verizon will purchase intellectual-property rights and other assets and management will stay in place. Terms were not disclosed. and the deal is expected to close sometime in the first quarter. |
