People are feeling better. The University of Michigan/Thompson Reuters consumer sentiment index rose to 75.1 in November from 73.2 in October. November’s reading is still below 77.5 hit in September. As the holidays approach, economists are concerned that low sentiment levels will translate into lackluster retail spending. Markets are closed tomorrow in honor of thanksgiving, and Friday will be a holiday shortened session. |
