| Intel reported a drop in second-quarter earnings, as it lowered its revenue forecast for the year and reduced its capital spending plan. For the period ended June 29, Intel reported net income of $2 billion, or 39 cents per share, compared with net income of $2.83 billion, or 54 cents per share, for the same period last year. Revenue fell by 5% to $12.8 billion. Intel was off 3% in after-hours trading. | |||||||
