BR Capital is interested in acquiring assets that meet our criteria in the following areas:

  1. Common to all areas.
    1. An offering price.  We are looking for sellers that are serious about selling and moving on to retirement or their next venture.  We don’t have the time or resources to just make you feel good about your company or property.
    2. No hostile takeovers.
    3. A valuation between $1 million and $5 million.
  2. Operating businesses
    1. . We are looking to a majority interest, and would like to complete purchase of the rest of  the interest within three years.
    2. Demonstrated consistent earning power.
    3. Businesses earning good returns on equity with little or no debt.
    4. Management that is willing to stay in place for at least three years to groom and advise new management.
    5. Simple businesses without much technology.  We can handle some technology, but if it has too many masters degrees, and PhD’s, our eyes will roll back.
  3. Real estate
    1. Land suitable for mobile home parks in the Pacific Northwest
    2. Existing student housing or land near universities, colleges, or community colleges that are suitable for student housing.
  4. Media properties in search of an audience
    1. Reality programming
    2. Straight to DVD productions
  5. Examples of the kinds of transactions in which we would have an interest
    1. An owner of an operating business who is ready to retire but does not have a family member who is willing to take over the business.
    2. An owner of land with a low cost basis who is willing to partner to develop the land and receive income in retirement.
    3. An owner of a media property that would like to see their creation distributed to the public.
