Facebook has purchased facial recognition startup Face.com for between $80 million and $100 million. Founded in 2007, Face.com makes technology that can identify people in photos and even guess a person’s age. |
The dollar rose against the euro, with the euro sliding below $1.26 and reversing an initial rally on indications a pro-bailout, pro-euro-zone government will preside in Greece. Yields on Spanish and Italian debt resumed their moves higher, partially reflecting worries European leaders are now under less pressure to roll out new stabilization. |
