Markets are mixed.

S&P500 Down -0.2% percent            2,017            (4.60)

Pending home sales cooled in December, which the National Association of Realtors attributes to fewer homes being available for sale and a slight rise in prices. The pending home sales index fell 3.7% during December, though the year-on-year gain was 11.7%, the highest since June 2013. “
The Commerce Department reported the U.S. economy grew by 2.6% annually in the fourth quarter, down from 5.0% in the third quarter, and below expectations of 3.2%. Consumer spending rose 4.3% following a 3.2% rise in the third quarter. But growth slowed because of slower business and government spending and higher imports.
The Labor Department reports employment cost index climbed 0.6% in the fourth quarter after a 0.7% increase in both the second and the third quarters. That was in line with Wall Street expectations.
The Chicago Purchasing Managers Index rose 0.6 of a point in January to 59.4, helped by growth in new orders and the best reading on employment in 14 months.
