Gold and silver prices fell sharply today and the dollar soared on the the U.S. midterm elections. Trading around four-year lows, December gold fell 1.9%, to settle at $1,145.70 an ounce, for its sixth straight loss. December silver fell 3.2%, to $15.44 an ounce. It hit a low of $15.40 per ounce, its cheapest price February 2010. |
