| Marketwatch reports that Yahoo is making another attempt at video. The company plans to order four Web series. They will be 10-episode, half-hour comedies with per-episode budgets ranging from $700,000 to several million dollars. The company is competing in a costly and crowded market for top-notch original TV series. Besides cable outlets vying for those shows, new entrants like Netflix, Amazon, and Hulu have entered the fray. | |||||||
| Shares of Intel are up. Pacific Crest Securities upgraded the stock to outperform based on signs of strong corporate PC demand and potential gains in the server market. Pacific Crest analyst Michael McConnell reaffirmed his view that a sluggish consumer PC market was being offset by robust demand in the corporate arena. He also said Intel’s new server platform was poised to “reaccelerate spending at traditional IT customers,” and could be a big boost to Intel’s data center business. Intel is up 1.9% to $26.65, the best performer in the Dow . | |||||||
