| Apple share of the tablet market fell in the third quarter, while tablets based on Google Android operating system posted gains according to IDC. Worldwide tablet shipments totaled 27.8 million units according to IDC said. Apple was No. 1 with 50.4% of total shipments, down from 59.7% in the year-earlier period. Android tablets gained share, with Samsung at No. 2 with 18.4%. | |||||||
