Closing Market Report 9/18/2013

The KUIK Closing Market Report for Wednesday, September 18:
Markets had a big up day on the Fed.
Direction Change Units  Last  Time Change
Dow Up                    147 points           15,677 1:56 PM
S&P500 Up 1.22% percent             1,726      20.76
Nasdaq Composite Up 1.01% percent             3,784      37.94
30 Year Treasury Down                      (9) Basis Points               3.76 Annual Yield
The Septaper failed to appear.  In a surprise move, the Federal Reserve stuck to its massive bond-buying strategy, citing softer U.S. growth. By a 9-to-1 vote, the Fed chose to keep buying $85 billion a month in debt and said it would wait for more evidence of economic progress.
