Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman Jay Clayton said today that if internet coin sponsors continue to ignore securities laws there will be more enforcement actions. The SEC announced an emergency asset freeze against an alleged repeat securities law violator based in Quebec, Dominic Lacroix, and his company, PlexCorps. In a press release the SEC alleged this Initial Coin Offering fraud has raised up to $15 million from thousands of investors since August by falsely promising a 13-fold profit in less than a month.
