Advanced Micro Devices announced the morning it has designed a graphics processor unit that can be used in a new multi-chip processor package designed by Intel, confirming a report in The Wall Street Journal. The new product integrates an Intel Core processor, AMD’s Radeon graphics chip and second-generation high bandwidth memory into a single package. Intel expects the new product to launch in the first quarter of 2018. AMD shares are up 5.5% while Intel is up almost 1% to $46.38.
The Icelandic pop singer Björk behind hits like “It’s Oh So Quiet” and “Army of Me” has teamed up with BlockPool, a British blockchain provider, to offer fans about 20 cents worth of cryptocurrency when they pre-order her upcoming album. For each purchase of “Utopia,” which debuts November 24, audioheads will get about 100 Audiocoin, a cryptocurrency targeted at the music industry.
