Republican Senate leaders delayed a vote on the party’s replacement for Obamacare until after the July 4 recess as it attempts to round up enough votes.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell had hoped to hold a vote before the holiday, but Republicans lack enough support for a bill that’s been criticized by both the moderates and conservatives. Stocks fell on news of the delay, over fears the lack of a health bill will damage plans to reduce taxes.
