Closing Market Report 9/2/2015

The KUIK Closing Market Report for Wednesday, September 2:
It was another crazy day on Wall Street.
Index Direction Change Units Index Time Change
Dow Up                    293 points         16,058 1:52 PM
S&P500 Up 1.8% percent           1,949      35.01
Nasdaq Composite Up 2.5% percent           4,750     113.87
30 Year Treasury Up                       3 Basis Points            2.96 Annual Yield
The Federal Reserve’s Beige Book indicated growing wage pressure in the U.S. economy. And that could impact the Fed’s deliberations at the upcoming September interest-rate-setting meeting. The report said that “several” of the 12 district banks “reported increasing wage pressures caused by labor market tightening.” Earlier Beige Book reports this year have found only higher pay in isolated sectors and other labor market data has shown no sign of higher wage pressure so far this year.
