Crude oil ended higher, with August crude up 0.8% to $43.09 on the New York Merc. But it is down 4.4% for the week, the fifth weekly drop in a row and the longest run of weekly declines since 2015. Baker Hughes report a rise in the number of rigs actively drilling for oil up 11 to 758 and the 23rd weekly rise in a row.
