The International Energy Agency reported oil stockpiles in the most industrialized nations fell by about 1 million barrels a day in March, but work still remains in the second half of 2017 to reduce them further. The IEA said in line with stronger recent performance from the U.S. shale sector, that it has increased its expectation for the whole of 2017. It now expects total crude production in North America to be 790,000 barrels a day higher by the end of this year compared with the end of 2016.
