| The University of Michigan Consumer Sentiment Index rose to a final April reading of 95.9, up from 93 in March. Economists expected a final April reading of 96. That was the second highest level since 2007. 37% of all consumers expect personal-financial gains the largest share since April 2007 and 58% of consumers reported favorable home selling conditions, the highest proportion since May 2006. | |||||||
