| U.S. stocks closed mostly lower with losses by technology and small-cap stocks as investors unloaded riskier position ahead of this week’s Federal Reserve policy meeting. The chance the Fed may adopt a more hawkish tone in its statement after it two-day meeting on Wednesday has weighed on stock prices since the beginning of the month. The Scottish referendum on Thursday also adds to the nervousness among global stock investors. | |||||||
