| The rebound in hiring in March dkeeps the Federal Reserve on target to end its stimulus program by late fall. Investor will get more tips on what the central bank is thinking when the Fed offers a summary on Wednesday of what top officials discussed at their last meeting in March. The Fed voted to scale back its bond-buying stimulus program, known as quantitative easing, for the third straight time to $55 billion a month. And the bank is on track to totally end the program by October or December. | |||||||
| European stocks fell today, pressured by Friday’s selloff on Wall Street that left the Nasdaq Composite with its worst drop in two months. The Stoxx Europe 600 fell 1% to 336, on track for a loss that would be the index’s first in nine sessions. The move followed Friday’s slide in U.S. stocks, led by heavy selling in the momentum stocks such as biotechs and Internet companies. | |||||||
